Full device check — phone, laptop, monitor and accessories
Pick the device, choose quick or full, and DeviTest walks you through the right tests one by one — then gives you a report you can save, print or download. Ideal before buying a used phone, laptop or monitor.
How the full check works
- Choose what you're checking: a phone, tablet, laptop, desktop, external monitor, or your keyboard, mouse and other accessories. You choose — the site does not guess for you, because you may be on a laptop but want to check an external screen or a controller.
- Quick or full: the quick check takes about three minutes; the full check adds uniformity, bleed, sharpness, camera, microphone and sensor tests.
- Run each step: screen tests open in full screen right on this page. Tools like the keyboard, mouse, camera and microphone tests open their own page; when you come back, their measured result appears here automatically.
- Get the report: a summary of problems, items to review, passed steps and steps that were skipped or not supported — with what to try next for every problem.
What the results mean
- Measured by the browser — the browser read a real value, for example the refresh rate, touch coverage, microphone level or camera frame rate.
- Your observation — for visual tests (pixels, bleed, burn-in, speakers) only your eyes and ears can judge. DeviTest records what you saw; it never claims to have detected a dead pixel by itself.
- Manual check — things a browser cannot reach at all, such as battery health or the charging port. You tick them off yourself.
- Not supported here — the browser or device doesn't offer the feature (for example, iPhone browsers don't allow vibration). That is listed separately and never counted as a fault.
The progress bar shows how much of the check you have completed. It is not a health score: a device can pass every test you ran and still have a problem that a browser cannot see.
Checking a used device before you buy
Turn on “I'm checking a used device before buying it”. Besides the screen, touch, audio and camera tests, the check adds a short manual list: activation lock and account removal, battery health in the system settings, parts and repair history, buttons, charging port, calls and SIM, Face ID or fingerprint, ports, hinges and specs. These steps are marked as checked by hand, not tested automatically.
What a browser cannot check
No website can read battery health, storage health, water damage, the earpiece, the SIM or cellular radio, or internal repairs. Visual tests are observations, not lab measurements: brightness, color accuracy and pixel response time need a colorimeter or a camera. The report lists these limits so nobody mistakes it for a professional certificate.
Privacy
Nothing starts on its own. The camera and microphone are only used inside their own tests, after you press a button and your browser asks for permission. Results are kept in your browser on this device, the report is created on your device, and saving it is optional. DeviTest never asks for an IMEI, serial number or any personal detail.
Frequently asked questions
Can I continue a check later?
Yes. Your progress is saved in this browser, so you can leave to use a tool, reload the page or come back later and continue where you stopped.
How do I get a PDF?
On the summary, press “Print / save as PDF” and choose “Save as PDF” as the printer. You can also download the report as a JSON file with every result and measurement.
Does a clean report mean the device is perfect?
No. It means the tests you ran didn't show a problem. Combine it with the manual checks and, for an expensive purchase, a look from a repair shop.
